People in Ocean Beach are furious after someone dumped gallons of paint near the tide pools.
"Oh my gosh I didn't know where to start," Kevin Hastings said. "It was just, I was so angry."
Hastings is part of The OB Graffiti Task Force, and says he thinks someone splashed at least three gallons on the sidewalk and wall leading down to the tide pools.
"It just kind of got worse and worse and spread all over," Hastings said.
Visitors who walked through the wet paint tracked it down to the tide pools where it ran into the ocean.
"Down just from people walking through this area. It's tracked down the cliffs, up the stairs," Hastings said.
The city covered the wet pain on the sidewalk with sand and painted over the mess on the wall.
But Kevin says the damage is done.
"Who dumps paint over the tide pools?" Hastings said. "I hope they realize the impact on other people."
