SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--UC San Diego will honor Native American culture Friday and Saturday with the 7th Annual Powwow at Marshall Field on campus.
The free event will include a Grand Entry procession with dancers and flag bearers. Attendees will be able to experience traditional food and art.
The celebration will also feature the crowning of the Powwow Princess, wrapping up a scholarship competition open to all Native American women attending college in San Diego.
The UC San Diego Powwowtakes place Friday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
