(KGTV) - A customer at a Los Angeles-area 7-Eleven store was caught on camera making racially charged statements towards a clerk before attacking another customer who came to the worker's aid.
The May 1 incident at the store on 7th Street was recorded by customer Myra Olvera, ABC7 in Los Angeles reported.
Olvera’s video shows the unidentified woman yelling at the clerk after she was told by she had to wait to heat up her food.
Olvera told ABC7 that the woman “just goes off on the cashier, telling her ‘you’re ugly, fat, hopefully you get deported.’”
A male customer, according to Olvera, told the angry woman to “have some respect,” but she then began to berate him.
In the video, the woman yells at the man: “That’s why ya’ll [expletive] family gets deported right [expletive] now! I’m glad Donald Trump is [expletive] president!”
Moments later, the man is seen on video being physically attacked by the woman and another man.
As this was happening, Olvera and other customers stood back and did not get involved. Two people in security uniforms were also seen on video but they did not intervene.
Olvera told ABC7 that she and others were fearful that the situation would escalate into a shooting or stabbing.
The victim in the physical assault was identified as 59-year-old Frankie Martinez, and family members told ABC7 that he suffers from anxiety and has not been seen or heard from since the confrontation.
There is no immediate word on if the woman and man involved in the incident where arrested.
