A woman in Venice, California, was captured on camera hiding from a burglar who had woken her up inside her home.
KTLA in Los Angeles reports that the woman fled to the roof, still half-dressed, to elude the burglar.
At some point, the man also got onto the roof and neighbors snapped eerie photos of him peeking over the roof behind her as she hid.

Los Angeles police officers ordered the man to come down and he did not comply, according to reports.
Firefighters then brought in a ladder so they could get to the roof and rescue the victim. An officer then held the suspect at gunpoint until the woman could safely get down.
