SAN DIEGO – Point Loma High was placed on lockdown for more than two hours Wednesday morning due to an unspecified threat that was emailed in.
The threat was received at about 8:15 a.m., the San Diego Unified School District confirmed. Officials do not believe the threat is credible, but took the necessary precautions. Students were sheltered in place.
San Diego Unified police and San Diego police conducted a sweep of the school, but found nothing. The lockdown was lifted at 10:28 a.m.
The nature of the threat was not released.
