SAN DIEGO (KGTV)- Hurricane Florence is expected to effect travelers. Evacuations are in place for many in the South Eastern part of the country.
San Diego native Curtis Holmes Jr., who attends college in Norfolk, Virginia, had to leave school before the storm sweeps in.
"We got advice to just get out of the city as best as you can." Holmes took a flight to Atlanta Tuesday afternoon.
He says, "I never had to go through anything like that before." At Lindberg Field, some travelers are nervous for their friends who are also in Virginia.
Carol Roddy tells 10News "my heart goes out to them."
10News reached out to five major airlines who say there aren't any cancelled flights as of now due to the storm but they have weather advisories in place.
