A San Diego business is out thousands of dollars after thieves broke in, smashing display cases and carrying out armfuls of merchandise.

Sean Daniels was woken up early Wednesday morning by a phone call from police. He's the owner of EZ Drone in Miramar and says this is the fourth time in four years that his store has been robbed. His security cameras caught the break in.

“They pried our door open,” Daniels said. “They’re falling all over each other. Smash the glass to our display case. Grab what looks to be two cameras.”

The two men also stole thousands of dollars in drones.

“The ones that people go for is about $1000," Daniels said. "They go up a lot higher. There’s one over there that’s $5000, out of the box.”

Daniels says it's hard seeing men like this grab his stuff and run.

“They’re taking out of my pocket directly," he said. "You know, I’m not a big corporation, it’s me.”

Now he can't help but wonder when the next theft will happen.

"From time of entry until the time (they're) gone is 28 seconds,” Daniels said. "So they did more damage than they did theft."

Daniels says he can't even recover the money through insurance because they won't cover drones. If you know anything or recognize the thieves, call police.
