A La Mesa woman's plans for looking fabulous on New Year's Eve were ruined by thieves.
Brandy LeBlanc ordered a special dress for ringing in the New Year, but her security camera captured a man casing her house, and then stealing the box containing her dress from her front porch.
In the video, the mail carrier is seen dropping the package off. About 30 minutes later, a couple walks by and a man points at LeBlanc's security camera. Ten minutes later, he nonchalantly walks by the stairs again before circling up and snatching the package.
"Oh, I was super pissed, but I was super happy that I had video of him doing it; at least I can get some type of revenge on you now," LeBlanc said.
She reported the theft to police and hopes someone will recognize the package plunderer.
"Honestly, I think the guy's stupid because we caught him on camera and he even saw that we had a camera and still did it," LeBlanc said. "So obviously this guy is not the brightest person in the world."
