A pedestrian who was hit by a car that fled the scene in Serra Mesa suffered a broken leg, according to San Diego police.
The hit-and-run collision happened shortly before 11 p.m Friday in the 3400 block of Kearny Villa Road, Officer Robert Heims said.
A 16-year-old boy was crossing the street in the middle of the block, not in a crosswalk, when he was hit, Heims said. He was taken to a hospital by paramedics. His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
It was a dark-colored vehicle that hit the pedestrian and did not stop, according to Heims.
