SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Teachers and first responders are eligible for a new electric vehicle rebate through San Diego Gas & Electric.
The $1,000 rebate is good for the purchase or lease of the vehicle.
The program is available on a first-come first-served basis for SDG&E customers in San Diego and southern Orange counties.
Electric vehicle buyers may also be eligible for other rebates from state and federal agencies.
SDG&E is hosting Electric Vehicle Day at San Diego Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9. Around 30 vehicles will be available for test drives.
