Police are looking for a gunman who opened fire in an area of Stockton Saturday night, hitting a teen who was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the 15-year-old boy was walking on 32nd Street toward J Street when he heard gunshots. The teen, who started running, felt himself get hit in the upper back.
The victim got someone in a nearby home to take him in. When police arrived, they took him to the hospital.
Police say the victim did not see any suspects but a witness said they saw a black male, 18- to 20-years old, wearing a dark sweater, running northbound in the alley of 3100 Island Avenue. The man got into a black Cadillac CTS with no license plates and drove away. It was last seen going eastbound on Market Street.
