SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Hundreds of residents in the East County are without power Friday morning as San Diego Gas & Electric has turned off power due to the elevated fire danger.
SDG&E "turned off the power for safety," affecting residents in Jacumba, Descanso, Pine Valley, Boulevard and other East County towns.
Descanso residents were without power for seven straight days last week for the same reason.
SDG&E officials say they will turn off electricity if power lines are at risk of falling over.
