(KGTV) - The girlfriend of a San Diego man who was seriously injured in the Las Vegas concert shooting is talking publicly for the first time.
Lauren Kynder said Zack Mesker, 21, is on pain medication but expected to recover. Doctors aren’t sure when he’ll be able to go to Carlsbad.
Mesker told Kynder to run when they first heard the shots at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. They were separated, then for six hours, Kynder had no idea how to find her boyfriend.
Mesker suffered a gunshot wound that pierced his intestines. He’ll likely need more surgery, Kynder said.
