SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--A driver who ignored posts meant to block off a route for the Rock 'n' Roll marathon led police on a pursuit up the coast to Oceanside Sunday, according to the San Diego Police Department.
San Diego Police began the pursuit after the man drove through the posts on Sea World Drive at around 8 a.m. The driver fled north on Interstate 5 all the way up to Oceanside, police said.
The suspect's car rolled over at Oceanside Boulevard, and he took off on foot before being taken into custody.
There were no injuries reported by police.
An estimated 30,000 marathon participants were expected at this year's event.
