Former San Diego TV news reporter Tony Tull, 34, was arrested Thursday morning, for child endangerment and bringing a loaded gun onto a school campus.

Police say Tull was walking his children to school at the Urban Discovery Academy in East Village Thursday morning, when he got into an argument with two homeless people nearby.

During the argument, police say Tull flashed a gun in his waistband, telling them he was an off-duty police officer, police said.

The transients called police.

When officers arrived, they were not able to find a gun on Tull - but they did find it in his stroller.

Tull is a former reporter for Fox5 News and the son of Entertainment Tonight host Kevin Frazier.

One parent at the school said she is unhappy with how the school handled the situation. She has asked 10News to use only her first name, Dana.

Dana told 10News that the school sent out an email around 11:30 a.m. - 3.5hours after Tull was arrested. In the email there is no mention of a loaded gun.

“I think it’s not unreasonable to expect more information and more answers,” Dana said.

Urban Discovery Academy CEO Jenni Owen sent 10News the following statement:

“Our team did an incredible job today of keeping the kids physically and emotionally safe - that was our first priority. We are thankful there was no direct threat to students or anyone else on campus, and that the response from staff and authorities was swift and immediate.”

As of Thursday night Tull remained in jail with a bail of $100,000.

10News reached out to Frazier for comment, but has not yet received a reply.
