A baby was transported to the hospital Monday afternoon after falling into a backyard swimming pool in Vista.
According to sheriff's officials, the incident was reported at a home in the 200 block of Copper Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m.
10News learned a one-year-old baby boy fell into the pool, but family members were able to quickly pull the child out of the water.
Sheriff's officials said the baby was breathing and responsive, and he was taken to Tri-City Medical Center.
The incident is under investigation.
