SAN DIEGO – Dozens of people have been flocking to a median on Coronado island every evening this summer to play the new sensation Pokemon Go.
The grassy area on Orange Avenue has become a popular spot to play the mobile game. Some residents have complained, claiming the players are damaging the landscape and leaving trash behind.
Coronado police have increased patrols. There have been no issues or arrests so far, however. Police have also set up a surveillance camera in the area.
"Yes it is kind of strange, but to each his own,” said Susan Delay, who lives nearby. “I don't see anyone making a ruckus or making any trouble. They're having fun. They’re not doing anything bad."
