Point Loma thief spotted twice at same home

Posted

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A Point Loma man is warning others after a thief steals from him twice in two days.

Marty Woods lives in an apartment complex on Rosecrans Street near Harbor Drive. He says he noticed several items missing from his porch and patio, so he reviewed his surveillance system and saw the same thief return to him apartment twice in two days, both in the middle of the night, to steal from him.

“I was furious. I felt violated," Woods said. "I couldn’t believe someone actually came in and stole my stuff.”

Woods says his home is clearly marked with an alarm system and security cameras, but they did nothing to deter the thief. He says his cameras also caught the thief heading towards his neighbor's patio.

San Diego police say they are still trying to identify the thief, who stole more than $1,000 worth of stuff from Woods' patio.

“If that’s all it takes, God bless him," Woods said. "Because he’s not going down the right road. I have been down that road, it’s no good. Take a different path.”

Anyone with information on who the suspect is should call SDPD and reference tracking #T17013739.
