SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--A pharmacist accused of fatally shooting his female roommate's boyfriend at his Ocean Beach condo was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter Thursday morning.
Thomas Francis Burke, 33, said he fired at Jess Robles, 35, in self defense after receiving threatening text messages from him.

One of Burke's roommates said he didn't like Robles the moment he met him six weeks prior to the shooting on June 22.

The defendant testified that he "saw rage" in the victim's eyes.
"I saw him going down like he was going to tackle me. I thought he was there to damage me or harm me," Burke said.
Burke faces between six and 21 years in prison and will be sentenced May 11.
