PACIFIC BEACH -- A Pacific Beach woman discovered a baby opossum wading in her toilet last month, according to San Diego County Animal Services.
Animal Services officials said the woman found the little animal May 1 and had no idea how it got into her toilet.
Officials determined that the opossum likely entered the woman's home through a broken window, and not through the plumbing.
The baby opossum was taken to Project Wildlife to be cared for, and it will be released once it is old enough to survive on its own, officials said.
