An armed robbery at a Subway sandwich shop in North Park was being investigated by San Diego Police robbery detectives Saturday.
The robbery happened at about 9 p.m. Friday in the 2800 block of El Cajon Boulevard, when a man showed a handgun to the employee and demanded cash, San Diego Police Sgt. Ray Battick said.
The suspect was described as white, about 40 years old, wearing a dark hat, a white hooded jacket and khaki knee-length pants, according to Battick.
The suspect escaped on foot in a northeast direction with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.
