PACIFIC BEACH, Calif. - New efforts just launched to protect people in Pacific Beach around the clock, while also helping the homeless.
Private security will be deployed at known trouble spots when the area's bars let out. And during the day, a group called Pacific Beach Street Guardians plans to hire the area's homeless to clean up the streets. The program is organized by Discover Pacific Beach.
