San Diegans still without New Year's Eve plans may need to look no further than their smartphones.

A new app called Go Out uses your location to find all of the events going on around you.

"We want our users to be spontaneous and go out and have a fun time, and meet new people, and socialize," said Go Out founder Emil Juboori.

Juboori, a 23-year-old San Diego native, said he's used to searching for events on Facebook and Yelp, but struggles to put them all together.

He told 10News the Go Out app helps by placing everything on an interactive map. You can find farmers markets, karaoke, bowling specials, happy hours and special events.

"Sometimes I'd have to go door-to-door, look at the menus, look at the happy hour specials, and decide from there. I just wished it was all in one place," Juboori said.

The free app also lets users upload their own events at no charge.

Go Out is available for iPhone and Android phones, and Juboori said about 15,000 people have downloaded it so far.

He hopes to make money by charging to make an event featured.

"The goal moving forward is to have businesses offer incentives specifically for users using our app," Juboori said.

But even before that, Juboori hopes to help you find something worthy of your extra time.

"I don't want you to be sitting at home wondering what you should do," Juboori said.

In San Diego, there's a lot going on that make it worth going out.
