A motorcyclist is dead after a solo crash on southbound I-5 near the merging of I-805, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
CHP officers said they do not know what caused the motorcyclist to crash.
