SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Court documents detail the history of abuse claims against a father whose two children died in a condo fire in Rancho Bernardo.
The father survived the Saturday fire that killed Cristos, 10, and Isabella, 8.
His wife and mother of the children was not at the condo when the fire broke out.

Documents show the mother filed a restraining order against her husband and the couple was legally separated in 2016. She claimed her husband had an issue with alcohol abuse. As written in the document, "He recently threatened to kill me and I fear for my safety."

The papers detailed the mother's other claims about the relationship, including infidelity, threats to her life, and a bite wound that broke her skin.
The father remains in the intensive care unit from injuries related to the fire.
