MISSION VALLEY, Calif. -- A pedestrian was fatally struck by at least one vehicle while crossing a freeway Sunday night.
Authorities said the incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. on westbound Interstate 8, east of Mission Center Road. One driver stopped and waited for emergency personnel to respond but California Highway Patrol is investigating whether more drivers were involved.
California Highway Patrol closed lanes of the freeway temporarily while investigating the incident.
