SAN DIEGO – A crashed car that was abandoned in the middle of a freeway onramp in the Ridgeview-Webster neighborhood was struck by two vehicles early Tuesday morning.

According to San Diego police, sometime before 1:30 a.m. a car carrying three men crashed on the onramp from Interstate 805 south to State Route 94 east. The men left the car and ran. Officers know that at least one man was injured because he left a trail of blood.

Two vehicles couldn’t veer away in time and struck the mangled car. Their occupants were not seriously hurt, however. Several other drivers had to swerve to avoid hitting the car.

Police did an air and ground search for the suspects, but were unsuccessful. They also went to the home where the car is registered, but were unable to locate the suspects.
