SAN DIEGO – Police arrested a man who scaled the side of the Vibra Hospital building in Hillcrest and reportedly tried to break in.
Sometime before 5:15 a.m. police responded to a report of a man trying to break into the Vibra Hospital located at 555 Washington St. 911 callers said the man scaled the outside of the building, which also contains the Landmark Hillcrest Cinemas and a 24 Hour Fitness. He got as high as the fourth floor and was smashing windows.
Officers located the suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Nicholas Adler, and were able to get him into custody with the help of a police K-9.
Police said Adler faces charges of resisting arrest, felony vandalism and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The exact circumstances of the incident were not immediately clear.
