PALA INDIAN RESERVATION - Two North County residents who reported finding a stranger dead in the garage of the home they share were arrested Thursday on suspicion of murdering him.

Tyann Louise Allen, 30, and Anthony James Boles, 32, were taken into custody about 2 p.m. at the Valley Center Sheriff's Substation, where they had voluntarily gone to be questioned about the suspicious death in the 1300 block of Robles Way in Pala.

On Wednesday evening, Allen and Boles reported finding the body of the 44-year-old apparent homicide victim upon returning from a dinner outing, sheriff's Lt. Dan Brislin said.

The dead man, whose name has been withheld pending family notification, appeared to have died of gunshot wounds to his upper body. An autopsy likely will take place Friday, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office.

The motive for the slaying is unknown, according to Brislin. The suspects' assertion that they did not know the victim is under investigation, the lieutenant said.

Detectives found no evidence of forced entry at the home.

Whether Allen and Boles had any relationship beyond residing in the same home also was unclear Thursday afternoon.
