Man arrested in connection with deaths of 2 homeless men in Otay Mesa

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man was arrested in connection with the death of two men whose bodies were found at an Otay Mesa strip mall, San Diego police announced Tuesday.

San Diego police said 52-year-old Ricardo Valles, who is homeless, is a suspect in the deaths of 56-year-old Curtis Murray and 61-year-old Albert Stringer. Murray and Stringer, who were also homeless, were found dead in the early morning hours of May 17 at a strip mall in the 3400 block of Palm Avenue.

The victims had numerous stab wounds to the chest, according to police.

Following an investigation in which Valles as identified as a suspect, police arrested Valles Monday evening near Palm Avenue and Beyer Way.

Police said he was booked into County Jail on suspicion of murder.
