SAN DIEGO – Items came flying out of a hotel window, showering people with glass, during an argument between a couple in the Gaslamp District early Friday morning.

According to San Diego police, a man and woman started fighting in a room at the Keating Hotel at 432 F St. at around 1 a.m.

The couple began throwing things out the window, including a couple chairs, one of which landed on a car that was waiting to be valet parked. There were also pieces of shattered glass from the broken window. No one was hurt.

"We were warning people not to walk along here, because you know, stuff kept showering them," a witness told 10News. "Well, a chair and a phone. But we didn't know what was coming next."

The woman was arrested on vandalism charges, police said. The man was taken to detox. T

The Keating Hotel said it would pay for the damage to the car.
