The San Diego County Fair is becoming famous for its gut-busting deep-fried concoctions.
"When people come to the fair, that's what they're here to do - they come to eat," said Mike Peterson, who runs Bacon A-Fair, a cart that is debuting new bacon features for the county fair.
The fair starts June 3, but the newest offerings were previewed Tuesday. More than 1.5 million people the fair attended last year.
Some of the previewed include deep-fried lemonade, deep-fried nachos, and deep-fried pizza.
"It's crispy, it's really hot, awesome garlic, pepperoni," said Bubba Sugarman, 18, who was at the preview day.
The deep-fried pizza may not be the craziest concoction yet -- Chicken Charlie's is debuting a fried-chicken infused Belgian waffle.
Peterson is offering a bacon-wrapped baked potato, which will sell for about $13 with toppings, and a sweet bacon bomb, which is essentially a bacon-wrapped pastry filled with cream cheese.
Still not offered on preview day? Deep-fried Tums.
