SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A water main break in the Hillcrest area forced the closure of a busy intersection late Monday night.
At around 11:15 p.m., San Diego water department crews were called to the intersection of 7th Avenue and Robinson Avenue after a construction crew digging in the area apparently struck and broke a water main.
The broken main sent water rushing onto the street, and the water flowed for several minutes before crews were able to shut it off.
While no homes or businesses were affected by the main break, the intersection was left flooded and soggy.
Crews shut down a section of 7th Avenue, near Robinson Avenue, for the repair and clean-up efforts.
