SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Police were investigating a shooting at a Pacific Beach park Wednesday morning that possibly left one person wounded.
Dispatchers received a report of a shooting about 2:40 a.m. at Kate Sessions Park on Soledad Road, west of Interstate 5, San Diego police Officer Tony Martinez said.
Officers responded to the park and found a large group of people, broken bottles and several spent shell casings, Martinez said. Officers detained at least three people and recovered two firearms.
While searching the group's vehicles, officers found blood inside a van, he said.
Police did not find a victim at the scene and it was not immediately clear if someone had been shot in the van.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting were under investigation.
