SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – The discovery of a suspicious device on a Little Italy street forced the closure of several roads Wednesday, but the object was eventually deemed harmless upon further inspection.
At around 10 a.m., San Diego police received a report of a suspicious-looking object in the 1400 block of India Street.
Due to the investigation, police shut down the 500 block of West Ash, the 500 block of Beech Street, and the 1400 block of India Street.
Police said a suspicious item was found in the 1400 block of India Street, but no further details were released.
Less than an hour later, police cleared the scene after the object turned out to be a commercial confetti cannon.
