SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Three drunk Lyft passengers rummaged through a parked ambulance in the College Area, stole items from their rideshare driver and ran off, according to police.
San Diego police told 10News the three men were about to be dropped off in the 7000 block of Mohawk Street at around 12 a.m. Thursday when they asked their driver to pull over after spotting a parked ambulance. According to police, one of the passengers mentioned that his mother was inside the ambulance.
A paramedic caught one of the passengers searching the ambulance and chased him back to the Lyft. At the same time, the other passengers stole the rideshare driver’s business cards and a few bags of potato chips before running away.
Responding officers looked for the three men but could not located them.
No injuries were reported.
