SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A retaining wall collapsed just below an apartment building in Bankers Hill Monday morning, but no one was hurt.
The incident happened at around 7:30 a.m. at a building on Ivy Street, near Third Avenue.
Officials are looking into what caused the wall to fall, but the collapse caused damage to the sidewalk and some garbage cans. Some of the debris fell against some vehicles that were parked, but no serious damage was reported.
Responding fire crews did not find any potential gas or fire danger.
As of 12 p.m., some residents were unable to enter the building due to city engineers inspecting the structure.
