WARNER SPRINGS, Calif. (KGTV) - Lightning from Thursday’s monsoonal storms sparked a brush fire burning in East San Diego County near Warner Springs.

The fire started about 3:45 p.m. at the Hot Springs Lookout on Hot Springs Mountain at the Los Coyotes Reservation, Cal Fire reported.

Flames were moving through one acre of heavy brush and timber, officials said.

"Access is difficult, so air resources are keeping fire spread to a minimum while ground resources make access and begin constructing handline around the fire," Cal Fire posted on Twitter.
