VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - A driver was taken into custody Tuesday after his semi-truck crashed through several fences and struck a gas line and power pole in a Vista neighborhood.
California Highway Patrol officials said the crash happened just after midnight in the 1300 block of Barbara Drive.
After hearing the crash, several residents confronted the driver and yelled at him to put his hands up. The residents waited with the driver until authorities arrived.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, 10News learned.
San Diego Gas & Electric crews were forced to turn off power and gas to the immediate area after the truck struck a gas line and power pole.
No injuries were reported.
