SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A Corvette hit several parked vehicles and then ended up stuck on top of a new BMW on a Linda Vista street early Tuesday morning.

At around 3 a.m., residents in the 2300 block of Ulric Street woke up to loud noises and saw a red Corvette had run over a boulder.

Witnesses said the Corvette drove around the neighborhood in an attempt to dislodge the rock, but it crashed into at least five parked vehicles.

The driver then put the Corvette into reverse, but it backed up on top of a parked BMW and became stuck.

Several witnesses confronted the driver as he tried to start the Corvette’s engine while still on top of the BMW, but paramedics and police arrived to intervene.

The driver was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for a possible DUI.

The family who owns the BMW said they just purchased the car last week.
