NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) - A woman suffered minor injuries late Wednesday night when a part of a ceiling collapsed on her as she slept in her National City apartment.
The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. at a complex in the 100 block of National City Boulevard.
Julianna Reynoso said she was asleep when a part of the ceiling suddenly fell down. She told 10News the ceiling in her apartment began leaking after recent rainfall and while she told her landlord about it, Reynoso said nothing was done.
“I told them about it again, how it’s leaking, and they haven’t done anything about it, and then this happens,” Reynoso said.
The collapse left a big mess in Reynoso’s apartment, but she was not seriously hurt.
Reynoso told 10News she plans to talk to her landlord again about the issue because she now has nowhere else to stay.
