CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - A new rideshare-like service in Carlsbad promises to connect commuters to various areas of the city.

The Carlsbad Connector service officially launched Monday morning, and its goal is to get train passengers to work or other spots in Carlsbad in an efficient and affordable manner.

The service works similar to Lyft and Uber, as users use an app to request rides.

Passengers from the Poinsettia Station will be shuttled to places around the city, including Carlsbad’s “primary industrial and commercials cores.”

The city, North County Transit District and SANDAG partnered to make the Carlsbad Connector happen.
