SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KGTV) - At just three years old, Jude Evans had already discovered his love for music, when he wondered if there were any kids books about famous bands.

“When I was about three years old, my dad was reading to me and I asked if there were any books about my favorite bands,” he said.

When he realized there was a void to be filled, he got to work. He created an alphabet book called “Bands by Jude,” highlighting 26 different groups for each of the letters in the alphabet. Groups like Modest Mouse, Arctic Monkeys and Vampire Weekend are featured.

He’s now ten years old and the book is finally published. He's since moved out of San Diego, but he partnered with a young and creative Barrio Logan artist to create the illustrations for the book.

“I do a variety of things so I try to challenge myself and this was a good challenge,” said artist Chloe Becky.

Becky typically does murals and physical art, so this was her first time digitally creating. It was also her first time working with such a young entrepreneur.

“Also working with Jude was different because normally I work with adults,” said Becky.

The two agreed that working together was a fun process. They would bounce illustration ideas of each other, highlighting the band name and where the band is from.

Now, the finished project can be purchase on bandsbyJude.com.

The published author said he’s not done creating yet. Now, he said it’s time for him to tackle writing and creating a movie.
