A county sheriff's helicopter assisted La Mesa police officers Saturday in looking for attempted robbery suspects in the area of 70th and University.
Police said two men with masks attempted to rob the Payday Loans business, but didn't get away with any money.
One suspect is described as a white male, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and gray tennis shoes. The second suspect is described as a black male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and red shoes.
A police dog tracked a scent to a home on Neri Drive, but the scent disappeared, according to police.
No other information was made available.
