A Logan Heights man suffered serious injuries Saturday morning when he was beaten by two men who got into his home through an unlocked door, according to San Diego police.

The attack in the 300 block of South 30th Street happened shortly after 9 a.m., according to Sgt. Ray Battrick.

The 67-year-old victim was beaten with a metal object and suffered serious injuries including a possible broken jaw and several bruises on his face. He was taken to a hospital, Battrick said.

The two suspects were described as Hispanic men in their early 20s. One of them was estimated to be about 5-feet-7, with a skinny build, short hair and wearing a blue tank top and blue jeans. The second suspect was described only as having very short black hair. They got away on bicycles, Battrick said.
