A Chargers intern who was injured in a hit-and-run in Pacific Beach more than two months ago returned to the field Sunday in Oakland.

J'Ron Erby, 23, was critically injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Pacific Beach on Aug. 5. He ended up with swelling and bleeding to his brain following the crash and was hospitalized for an extended time.

Erby has been at home in the Bay Area recovering after getting out of the hospital.
