SAN DIEGO - Police shot and killed a man who held a woman hostage after shooting four people Sunday night, mortally wounding one of them.
Four victims were rushed to the hospital around 9:15 p.m. after a fist-fight escalated into a shooting where one victim was shot in the head, another was shot in the stomach and a woman was put into a headlock at gunpoint by the male suspect.
He was in the process of dragging the female victim to a car when police demanded he stop and drop his gun. He refused and a male officer opened fire fatally shooting the suspect.
Police said the officer, who hasn't yet been identified but is a 12-year veteran of the San Diego Police Department, was wearing a body camera at the time of the shooting.
