A three vehicle traffic collision near Potrero left one person dead and started a small brush fire California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials said.
After the crash, a black SUV caught fire which spread to the brush nearby. The fire started around 3:20 p.m.
All lanes of Highway 94 were closed between Barret Smith Road and Highway 188 while Cal Fire crews worked to contain the fire. All lanes have since been reopened and the 1 acre fire has been put out.
