(KGTV) - Did researchers really discover the key to stopping the noise from a dripping faucet?

Yes.

Scientists at the University of Cambridge found the dripping noise is caused by a small air bubble when the drop of water hits a hard surface.

They say adding dish soap to the landing spot changes the surface tension and eliminates the sound.
