(KGTV) - Do pay phones still generate hundreds of millions of dollars a year in the United States?

Yes!

There are about 100,000 pay phones left in the U.S. that generated $286 million in revenue in 2015.

In San Diego, they're still widely used at hospitals and at the border where cell service is weak.
